Weekend 2 of Star Wars Weekends at the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort blasted its way out of Mos Eisley this weekend. The guest stars this week were Matthew Wood and Jake Lloyd, who joined Warwick Davis who is hosting the event.
Big news from the Stars of the Saga talk show that Warwick hosts:
- Matt Wood says that since the “Clone Wars” animated series takes place during the time when Grievous is still alive, that it will “be fun for me to do.”
- Matt is also working on voices for a “secret project” that Lucasfilm is working on, but he can’t talk about it or he would risk being fed to the Rancor. Check the “secret project” link above for my guess at what that project is (or Hyperspace members can check out the “Secrets of Star Wars 07” section for more info.)
- Jake Lloyd is now working behind the cameras, doing some production and editing work along with friends from his high school.
Some videos from the event (hosted on YouTube.com):
- Grievous, Live, On Stage
- Jake Lloyd Talks About Video Game Voice Over Work and Plays LucasArts’ Game “Racer” against a lucky fan
- Jake Lloyd Talks About Episode I Memories (including some nice words about Ahmed Best)
- Matt and Warwick Do A “Grievous” Version of a Famous Disney Tune
As always, pictures are in the Gallery.
One quick note, very exciting this year, Disney has had two winners at the Star Wars edition of the “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Play It!” attraction so far! The winners get a Disney Cruise, along with a bunch of Star Wars prizes. I got to see one of the winners this weekend.
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you need to come out for Star Wars Weekends 2006! Just two weekends left!!!!
