Guild Wars Preview Event

For those of you nutty enough to like MMORGs, check out the Guild Wars preview event coming up. Guild Wars is a fast-action MMORG in the vein of Blizzard’s Diablo series of games. As I understand it, it was crafted by some of the folks who used to run BattleNet for Blizzard, and it shows in the excellent quality of the game.

I got to play in the early beta during E3 and really was wowed at how good the game was then. Given the months since May, I bet the game will be even better now. So jump out, pick up the client and give it a try during the beta.

New Stitch Game on Disney.com

There’s a new Stitch game out on Disney.com!

The WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort web site has posted a new Stitch game to promote the opening of the “Stitch’s Great Escape” attraction, coming very soon to the Magic Kingdom®. The game is sorta corny, but very funny, and if you love Stitch as much as I do, you’ll enjoy playing it.

What’s really kewl is, if you play the game and print out the thing you get at the end, you can take the print-out to the Magic Kingdom with you to get a special Stitch sticker!

The game also installs one of the little pet Stitch onscreen toy thingies like the one that they had for the movie.

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Today, Natasha and I went to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival (I keep almost writing “Food and Wind” and with all that great food you can certainly get a bad case of wind…but anyway….) is a great way to enjoy the international flavors of Epcot with food from all the countries represented there, as well as food from other nations as well. The food was really, really yummy, and professionally prepared. It was so good, I had to take some pictures of it. Enjoy! And try not to salivate on the keyboard.

Hurricane Charley Update

We’re all safe, that’s probably the main thing to get said here. Natasha and I and mom and dad and the cats and dogs are all fine. The storm did a lot of property damage in our area, but it looks like all of us managed to dodge the worst of the damage.

We’ve been out of power until about 15 minutes ago, and I wanted to get this online as soon as I could. I have some pics to share. I’ll be dropping some on the site as soon as I can.

I’ll tell you, being in the path of something like this can really change your opinion about being ready for it….

Napa Valley Trip, Part 3

The last set of pics from Napa Valley, California, are up today. They feature views of Big Rock Ranch, where Star Wars Episode III is being made, the Coppola winery, where wine is being made, and Muir Woods, where redwood trees are being made, and mage BIG.

Special thanks to Tabby and Johnny, who, as usual, made our trip to California great by giving us tons of hints on kewl places to visit. Most of the pics you see here are places they recommended and all of them were just awesome. We had a great time by following their tour guide advice.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Napa Valley Trip, Part 1

Natasha and I just got back from a fantastic trip to Napa Valley, California. Visiting the wineries there is wonderful. I definitely recommend the trip to anyone who loves wine, mountains, fresh air, and good people. You can see the first set of pictures up on the site in the gallery now. These cover our trip to the Jelly Belly factory (YEA!) and to the Berringer Winery.

Star Wars Weekends, Week 5

Star Wars Weekends, Week 5 pictures are up, featuring the lovely Amy Allen, who played Aayla Secura in Episodes 2 and 3, and also teen hearthrob Daniel Logan, who played the young Boba Fett in Episode 2 (and he hinted he might be playing him in Episode 3, though he’s not on any cast list that I’ve seen).

This was the last weekend of Star Wars Weekends at the Disney/MGM Studios Theme Park and it truly rocked. A huge thank you goes out to all the people at the park who worked so hard to make the event so much fun and an incredible success. It was a blast, and I look forward to many more Star Wars Weekends to come.
