Got into the search bar and searched at the store. Then I got an update (i.e."We're updating your kindle experience "). Then the store seemed to load ok, and the kindle was more responsive. Then, I was able to get the menu to load, and performed the reboot mentioned above. Bouncing to the store seemed to do it.

I've seen people suggest it's after they downloaded a certain number of books at a time. Knowing how to reboot it is probably the key thing. I'm thinking this is a firmware thing that Amazon can fix with a software update.

Thanks for the tip. My Touch 3G was working fine until yesterday. It started acting slow and I started getting those "unable to start application" notices. I was reading some comments and some people were suggesting the issue started after they downloaded a book so I deleted the most recent one I downoaded. Didn't change anthing. The tip seems to have done the job. I'll give it another week or so to see if anything changes. Otherwise, I'm bringing it back. Is this something that can be fixed with an update? These things get updates, yea? I know the Keyboard 3G one gets updated. Or is this strickly a hardware issue? Thanks again.

I HATE onions... and growing up- every time my mom made anything I'd beg for her to make a separate batch for me- sans onions. I'm sure you can guess how this turned out- yep- I got a big fat 'when you are doing the cooking- you can make it how ever you want it'. And during dinner I would sit there picking onions out of whatever she had made.

So she came to visit me in my first post college apartment... it was great- we did all kinds of decorating and such. So one night we decided to make chili... we go to Publix- we're transversing the store for kidney beans, ground beef, canned tomatoes... and then mom says 'we need an onion'. STOP EVERYTHING- I very quickly say to her 'do you remember how you used to tell me that when I did the cooking, I could make things how I liked them?' She of course did not remember this. But I told her I DON'T LIKE ONIONS. We are not putting onions in this chili. I remember her looking stunned for a moment- and then she said- ok... no onions in the chili.

And ever since then- when my parents cook anything- I get a separate pot/ pan/ batch WITHOUT onions!

I loved the series too, but I am actually looking . forward to the movie. I think it looks pretty funny. It is just a movie...first amendment etc.

It will be okay Keith. Nothing can be as bad as Eddie in the Haunted Mansion( at least I pray not.) Oh well, I look forward to watching the original series with my kids. Can i borrow your DVDs? hehehe

Our family just returned from WDW and thoroughly enjoyed Midway Mania. Now, we are (I hate to admit) a Wii-gaming family...my wife and sons were playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero regularly until recently, Kart was a nightly activity for a couple of months, and otherwise the Wii gets more time than regular TV.

When we heard Mania was going to be out for Wii, we started thinking about what it was that we liked about Mania, and how hard or easy it would be to replicate the pop-gun cannon mechanics with Wiimotes. My wife immediately wanted to know if the game would come with 3D glasses. So we're already thinking in terms of "How much will Disney be able to duplicate the ride experience in a home game?"

I think we've already figured out that it won't be the same. The game mechanics aren't innovative, but the novelty of the other effects (3D presentation, the pop-gun cannons, the zippiness of the ride carts) are what we thought made the ride "park-exclusive" enough. I can almost guarantee we'll buy Mania when it's out for Wii, but I can also almost guarantee we'll prefer the real thing.
